Taste of College, Upcoming ToyCon

Good morning to you all! (It's morning here.)

To my great surprise and delight, our university announced that classes are suspended! Our classes will resume on June 15; and oh my, this is going to be hard 'cause our calendar of events and activities will be adjusted. I had my first two days of college already, and nothing much happened on those days as it was just introduction of the professors and syllabus of the subjects. I was able to befriend a few of my classmates and what do you know, I'm surprisingly getting along with the male species. I was expecting to act all shy and the like, but it didn't happen. Which is good! :w00t:

I was able to meet ~Naokoko! But only for a short while, and that's fine with me as I'll be seeing more of her this school year. =)

And, because of school, I think MoA will become my third home, because I get to hang around there while I wait for my aunt to get off from work. I went through three different bookstores the other day while waiting for her and eventually bought a book from Book Sale. I even passed by Comic Alley, so many tempting things to buy!!! My poor wallet. Last Friday, almost half of my week's worth of allowance went to art supplies for one of our subjects. I don't regret it, just made me realize that this is the life of an Art student. I'm going to need to save, and find a way to earn money. I really need to open up commissions slots, after making more samples to show to the viewers. Need to put a halt to procrastination!

Heck, I started going through my wardrobe and stopped in the middle of sorting my clothes last night.

Moving on. I hope the Org Fair will take place soon once classes have resumed. I already know that there's one organization I want to join; my friend and I were approached by a fellow freshie, who is taking the same course as well, and gave us a briefing on this particular organization. After hearing what he had to say, and seeing the brochure he showed us, I became deeply interested. Fortunately, my mom and grandmother are in favor of the organization! It turns out this organization has been around for some time now! Besides, my mom wants me to be active in college, so this is my chance! :w00t: I wonder if there are other interesting organizations, I'll just have to wait and see. =)

Hmmm, once classes have started again, I need to apply for certain things such as library card, locker and the like. Before, I thought that I don't need a locker, but then again it would come in handy, even for tight situations, so why not? I also have to call the IT dept. at school because for some reason I can't log on to my APC account. Thank goodness there's ~Naokoko and she said she'll be the one to keep me updated instead. Our school sent a mass group message to the students about the suspension of classes, but I can't sign in my mail account, so there.

Well, that's all I have to say for now about college. Hopefully there will be a follow-up after classes resume.

Now to move on to the next!

ToyCon 2009!!!

Going to attend both days like last year! I will be cosplaying on both days. Leo of Tekken 6 on the first day for me, sadly, I still don't have a gun, but finally I have the right wig! Gah, I need to go back to sewing, I'm not yet done editing the jacket! :nirvana: Also need to go over my Tifa costume (ended up not being able to make a new one), which I will wear once again on the 2nd day to join my FF Family. :love: This may really be the last time I'll wear it in a convention as I would like to move on to new cosplays. Heck, I have fabric for a cosplay ( suggested by Jan) already but I haven't gone around to making the patterns. :lol: A whole week of free time was given to me, so I need to get off my computer chair and actually get things done.

Random note: I am fangirling over Chris Daughtry right now. :love:

So there, that's all I have to say for now. I need to go back to organizing my wardrobe and fixing my room.
